The pond has been a highlight of the Garden since it was installed in 1931. Encircled by flowering plants, filled with waterlilies,  stocked with goldfish with a birdbath style fountain standing in the centre, many generations of visitors have been drawn to the sound of the splashing water.

The birdbath is gone but water still sprays into the air from the central fountain.

Waterlilies and other pond plants help keep the water clean and provide cover for the goldfish and frogs who delight visitors of all ages (find the frog).

The planted beds around the pond and the rock garden provide a great backdrop for photos.
